BACK IN MY DAY!.. we would talk about North Korea, and we would marvel at how their government was so brazen and mad with power that the people were told that "Glorious Leader" was a demi god. The great father. Murals everwhere. More important than family, more important than your own hapinhess, you were in service to supreme leader. 

He is perfect. He doesn't use the restroom! You plebs aren't allowed to infer he isn't! Know your place! 

What a peculiar government it seemed. That surely didn't serve the people, we would never allow THAT kind of tyranny here. It didn't put the driving forces of power  in the hot seat of accountability so mankind could progress and find prosperity. We transcended from the madness of kings and queens. 

Tribes of asshats warring against each other with lies and deception, with one side ultimately winning and leveraging their worst aspects against the downtrodden. This is the ultimate destination if we allow our cognitive dissonances to flourish in time. Absurdity, big lies, absolute fealty to the mad machine of petulant, weak totalitarians certain of their enemy's sin of ever  doubting there supremacy.

So everyone in Korea was held to insane standards to treat each other kindly right? NOPE! "Enemies of the State" were disappeared, government was allowed to do what they wished with the lower class, and anyone who dared question anything was sowing deceit and deserving of corporal punishment. 

Think of tyrannical government as a bunch of grown children who have no adult above them to keep them in line. Petulant, drunk with power, unaccountable, incompetent, and obsessing about petty revenges and wanting to stick their nose in everything. Fearful of everything outside their control.

We are an increasingly naïve people as our foundations collapse in this era of coddling. Because of generational trust in our institutions by those who sought to improve the world, to sacrifice. We have ingrained trust that the government is here to help. That schools are there to teach, that experts have specialized, unbiased knowledge in their fields. But through subversions, our society starts to drift, it starts to gaslight itself, and this ubiquitous, mad machine starts to influence all us cogs as standards and sanity fall into the dirt. We look to our left, and we look to our right, and everyone is in lockstep. SURELY someone knows what they're doing... right? 

It was such a contrast in prior decades to compare ourselves to totalitarian regimes. Here in the west we fight for truth! We have open debate! We value meritocracy! We value a strong middle class! We value the American dream where hard work and talent can shoot you up the ladder! If you've got the ethic, the talent, you can start by mopping floors and eventually make your way up to CEO. Here in America, we keep one another in check and weaponize our base natures against one another to find the a balance, try to find the mix of our spites and allyships that allows warring factions to keep one another evolving into a better version of ourselves as we build character in this fight of life, to maintain this social Darwinism through this grand experiment of the West towards a better future above the petulant tyranny of our base natures against ourselves. 

All the world will prosper as we give those who fight for truth, justice and the American way the levers of power to construct a shining light on the hill for all to aspire to...

Boy, that didn't last long...

It fascinates me our ability to be tribal. To gloss over Do they realize their hypocrisy? Do they deep down know they're sowing division and only helping their "team". I genuinely don't think they do. What reason have they ever had in their lives to try to hold themselves to the fire of the truth?

We live in this sublet of reality, our human condition exists below the folds of perception and persuasion. And here in this madness, it is those who never dare lift the curtain who in time find their ways into the positions of power in this decadent, declining society, those who bolster the regime, who are good little subversives, who get all the legs up in life.

See no evil hear no evil.

In this mad machine of the untested, of the ungrateful and the coddled, only true believes may be abided. No harsh reality may be suffered at the hands of the decadent.

ANYWAY!

Wasn't feeling great yesterday, took a mulligan, and to be totally honest, I was really burned out. We've been getting lots of work done as of late! Game is getting better!

We have a hump to get over. OH SNAP IT'S WEDNESDAY! Serendipitous! We need to get the ball rolling and creating high quality, better looking chunks with better play. We need to polish up waveswim as we go and billions of other little variables and bugs that surely developed as we flew forward the past couple months.

What's the reward for kickin' ass in gamedev in this mad society?
