THEY FIXED THE BUG

Firstly, I want to apologize for yesterday's blog. Games are made by all sorts , and I shouldn't speak on everyone's behalf and say that gamedev has to be a grueling hellride full of pain and frustration, in fact one of my hopes is that some day we can make it NOT so much that. That's just the path we've set for ourselves being an insufferable twat and sometimes I get worked up and say stupid shit, that said I KINDA meant it? Anyhow, I felt like it was a banger blog anyway if it offended you, whatever, get over it.

ANYWAY!, I was shitposting on Twatter (as one does) when I got an email notification, Oh shit is that the new computer being delivered!?

Nope... MAYBE EVEN BETTER!

THEY FIXED THE FUCKING BUG (Supposedly)

I'm almost tempted to share this play graph that shows the # of plays per day SeaCrit gets, so I can show the spikes that happened years back where i was making a build every 15 minutes, trying something new and then making another build over and over and over and over again for weeks on end trying to find this fucking bug, and some days I would get over 100 plays of seacrit, and you know who that was!? This dumb ass But i'm not going to do that because I don't want to embarrass myself showing how few people try this game XD

There are times I wonder where the hell the past 8 year went and then I remember I spent like a full month trying to figure out this damn bug. And that's just a fraction of an element of one part of SeaCrit existing on web builds that only affects phone and it sorta makes a bit more sense.

I feel we might be one of the few people in the world trying to make a web build in Unity that's actually serious about it that's also using fancy custom shaders, so we're on the short list of people that have really suffered as a result of this elusive bug. So no one else in the unverse is going to really give a damn except maybe developers waiting for performance issues such as this to be resolved.

Anyhow, huge news, because it shows the Unity guys are making tangible progress towards making these web builds playable, and that's super exciting because it's already nearly there!

Bit of a light blog today, and I feel this is killing our ultra banger blog streak, and I'm actually kinda happy about that because it was starting to get a little too heavy and we're gearing up to get into heavy dev anyhow and we're not going to have the energy to indulge in high level bitching and moaning.

So yeah, dare I say it, but life is actually pretty durn good right now! Health is holding in kind of alright, i've got this web build shit to be excited about, and soon we'll be developing on a PC Rig that isn't ABJECT ASS.
