Saw The Minecraft Movie recently, it wasn't half bad!

So for so long I've been obsessing about that next new build. It has to be great, it has to encapsulate kinda what the game is going to be, and I'm starting to think, damn it IllTemperedTuna, just put out new builds who friggin' cares? Nothing bad can happen if we upload new builds other than maybe our ego getting smashed, but whatever, we need to get over that.

So my goal for today is to get a new build up without any fanfaire or expectations. It's not going to be perfect or show a ton of content, that's going to be coming in the coming weeks, but I really just want to get over that anxiety of putting up new builds so we can get back to just making the game. It's also important to try new builds on phone and see if there are any unique performance issues and otherwise there.

Got the new waveswim in, and I really like it, but it feels a little too potent i think for new players, so i'm going to kill two birds with one stone today and inject some neat gobble fish that when you eat them, it'll enhance your scuttle bonus, which will slowly raise the speed and I think the players will much more enjoy that  slower set in rather than being punched in the face with some weird feeling movement system.

And if they don't like it... they don't have to gobble the skuttlefish! So I'm kinda coming up with ways that the player is able to customize their own player taste with what they eat, almost like user settings. If you REALLY like going fast and skuttling, you can farm a lot of these fish... but keep in mind in the future there will be a rising difficulty which will limit the total power you are able to farm in a single session.

Whew, we got SO MUCH drudgery done this month I'm almost having to pinch myself that we're actually getting to work on the main game again! Bittersweet, yes I'm excited to see the game maybe come online, but dreading the imperfections that will pop up. That will be on us to fix all the stuff and polish it, that mother fucking piper is demanding his due.

YouTube is on fire with the auto music recommendations. This song always reminds me of a cousin of mine who passed some time ago. Anyway, not in a sad way, just reminds me of the good times. Actually, in a really good head space today, got some good sleep, project is coming together. What more can we ask for in this crazy world? We've got the ball in our corner and we're ready to take our shot, nothing stopping us!

So that's what we gon' do! I hate to say it, but with some luck these gobble fish should come online pretty easily, and if all goes well what we really need to fix up is the auto attack system I threw in a couple weeks ago and never really polished. I HATE that system and wish i'd never added it, but I can't shake the promise of it, I want the player to have a means of playing the game and auto attacking using only directional inputs, so that's the goal by the end of the day. If we can get that good to go and the gobble fish in, and the build made and uploaded here and on the Unity site, we'll be in a great spot to FINALLY get to work adding all this content we've been droning on and on about for years on end!

We've absolutely been shoving our foot in our mouth of late, in forums, in blogs, on twatter, whatever. I don't even know what to say about it at this point. WE'RE HUMAN, SUE ME! (Please don't sue me)
