Venting Some Madness So We Can Get to Work!
I don't want this blog to get too sidetracked with our outburst escapades on Twitter or the Unity forums too much, but whew, some crazy times in this industry. The tribalism is really flaring of late. Believe it or not I AM trying to respect the sanctity of gamedev to some degree. My primary focus is to develop a quality game, and I hope that maybe this project can bring sanity to this world. I despise this post modern bullshit and would like nothing more than to see an end to this inanity. I prefer not to stir up eternal drama and feed into this terrible tribalism that has destroyed our world and modern discourse and stunted us so terribly as a people.
Good lord do I sound like a pretentious prick...
ANYWAY!
Feeling quite vindicated right now. Everyone said we were crazy, everyone destroyed and demeaned the other and got their little bread crumbs for being good little boys and girls and feeding into the ruling hates of the land. And people are fucking tired of it. People are fucking tired of the decay, the animosity, the holier than thou bullshit narrative that these petulant loser shit heads abusing their power are our betters.
People sure have gotten quiet these days. They sure have shut the fuck up as the world collectively sees that the emperor has no clothes and that everything has gone to shit, and will continue to go to shit under their self affirming, smarmy rule.
Anyhow, enough of that tired blather.
Feelin' pretty good today! Got some okish sleep finally, Oh! And we got a random comment on a YouTube video that we should include sound in our work session, and I've decided that today and maybe on occasion in the future we will listen to copyright free music so we can include the sound of the game! I'm still gonna wanna listen to manowar, Phil Collins, the Distillers, Face to Face, Sabaton, In FLames, etc in the future so most dev sessions will be muted, but I figure, eh, just this once we'll stomach some creative commons music and do a fully featured dev session!
Truth be told we're still pretty burned out though, so not sure it'll even be any good! Hoping to get some weapons in today and to continue building up the world a bit. It's going to be slow going for a time, but we'll find our rhythm and I think things will s tart coming together. We're getting closer and closer to a solid upgrade to the current demo where we will get to showcase the itemization and bonus system and HOPEFULLY this project finally shows itself to have worthwhile potential. We have a ways to go but hoping to at least show those glimmers that something cool might be in this project. We sure could use a win at some point after all these wasted years.
I'm really fucking itching to make a post on the Unity forums and to call out these low class, power mad Unity mods. There is little in this world I hate more than cowardly, smarmy shit head tech bullies that have destroyed this industry with their tribalism.
The worst bullies are moralists who believe themselves to be good as they smash everyone around them who dare reveal the truth.
With every passing day the Truth reveals itself. They can silence and cancel all they want, they are only digging their hole deeper. People can see the fruits of their labor, the proof is in the pudding. This industry has become bloated, and full of lazy moralists. That was essentially the truth I was banned for on the Unity forums. I'm a "Conspiracy theorist" as this industry implodes and burns around us, as the very company of Unity itself burns and needed to be reformed in the face of all their subversions and greed mixed with post modern moralism.
This culture of tech is finally coming to an end. And it's about time try not to get so distracted and get back to making our game darn it!
It's gettin' better all the time! And the more we kick up dirt outside the more these bullies will target us, and we've put up with their shit for long enough.
We weren't crazy, we weren't the bad guys either. It's time to carry the torch forward and show these petulant losers how it's done.
