Who's in control?
There's your answer. We're all in control. We're all one tiny vote for stupidity and self serving chaos in this world of deceit and apathy.
People surmise it's this group or that group pulling the strings. We WANT things to be simple, we WANT to solve the puzzle of inanity, we need some villian to put the crosshairs on so we may seize the strings for ourselves.
Nope. Just billions upon billions of monkeys and their greed and hate formed purely down tribal lines. Whether the flavor du jour of favoritism be race, gender, ideology, class, ethnicity, it doesn't really matter. Any change will be labeled as progress by the parties vying for power as the wheels spin. There is no room for principle or hard work as the petty legions divvy up the scraps.
And that's it! For years I've wanted to write a succinct description of the madness, and this is about the best I've come up with so far. It doesn't seem so profound these days because it's just been beating us over the head for so long that I think most everyone secretly understands the rules of engagement, and how silly it's all been.
ANYWAY!
Was all geared up to get to work on upgraddes, DAMN IT I CALLED THEM UPGRADES AGAIN! They are BONUSES! I was going to get to work on getting all the bonuses online which was going to feed into items which would feed into further content and the game coming online, when a nagging feature need popped in my head.
So instead we're going to get knee deep into tedious design, I want to create sorting list for bonuses, common, rare, and epic, and I want each column to be a different color, so that's what we gotta do today. Oh and of course before we do that the thought popped into my head that we need to sort out the HUD variables to be useable because they're a total cl*sterfuck. So we'll be doing that first. Rabbit holes leading to rabbit holes.
Some day we will open the project and make it fun. But today is not that day...
