Tools
Back in my day!.. we used to call people who were all to eager to please the authority figure, or the big ol' greedy establisment run by greedy douchenozzles, "Tools". It was a bit of a derogatory type word.
These days with all the normalization of massive corporations, and this giant nanny state, and everything being some huge production with 500 people per game, we're kind of all tools. That's just what gaming has turned into.
And I find that kinda sad, and now when i see all the games that are in development, I see games that are made by a bunch of tools.
I don't say this to be snarky or edgy. There is a real gap in our lexicon. There is a dangerous lack of awareness of key concepts of humanity that is directly leading us to our decline.
We're growing weak, we're growing ungrateful, we're growing stupid, sedentary, and docile. Lap dogs for medicated smarmy assholes.
Every game has person X handling the animations, the same camera controllers, the same everything!
Everything is a damned FPS with the same AI and the same weapons. Or a damned 3rd person fighting game with the same damned spinny moves and combo's and counter attacks and blocks and crap.
Anyway, GET OFF MY LAWN!
Seriously though, it's been frustrating trying to make something innovative. But feeling more and more vindicated that we chose a noble and fruitful path as the world because increasingly f*cking stupid and games get worse and worse.
Took WAY longer than I expected but things are shapin' up and maybe we have something worth playing soon. Wish it didn't require throwing away so many years, BUT HEY! Beggars can't be choosers.
Just a quick little blog for now, got a solid nap in and plannin' on getting back to work soon. Sleep schedule was back to normal and I just f*cked it all up again, which is fine so long as we get work done!
