I've had Neon Nights stuck in my head all day and it's one of those rare times where you hope the song never gets unstuck from your head.

Took a little break, feelin' a bit better lately, not great, but good enough that really need to get back to work soon. SO I WILL DARN IT!

Gonna get back to writing tomorrow.

I had a realization. I'm getting too far into my own head. I keep thinking the writing has to be beyond perfect, that the only chancec the game has is if the writing is perfect, if the gameplay is perfect, if the level design is perfect...

This kind of thinking is going to wreck you if you're a solo developer.

We need to get this writing in and get back to building up the core game.

NO MORE FEATURE CREEPIN'! Even if it's just some side writing.

Actually feeling really darned good today, nice to just enjoy a regular day. This holiday time always kinda sucks when you're in a cave working on a game for the umpteenth year.

Seems like the world may be changing a bit as of late. Maybe we have a chance after all. I always question my sanity thinking the powers that be ultimately hold the fate of this game in their hands and i'm just here toiling away hoping the winds of change come ablowin'. And that's such a terrible mindset to have.

I miss the days where I was full of salt and vinegar convinced if we made the game not trash we'd have a shot at this. So i'm going to try to get back into that headset, worrying about things outside your control will just suck the drive out of you anyhow.

Nothin' ta do but work on the game anyhow!

Back to work soon! I REALLY needed this little break. I can't begin to tell you how nice it is as days go by and I don't feel as though i'm dying any more. Health seems better! Still burned the fook out though... gotta suck it up!
