Much still to do...
Still to do:
Add multiple secret area with unique shops and items to buy, and lists of NPC's to fight with unique rewards (make modular so they are easy to repurpose and add multiple times. Set up the shop so multiple item loadouts exist for each unique shop location.
Continue to tune NPC spawns to coexist with the new camp spawn mechanics, and figure out what composition of ambient spawns pair well with camp spawns. Need to tune spawn rates of bosses, camp spawn rates, continue to add more items and item modifiers,
Add zone 3 with raising difficulty mechanic, where death is certain after a certain amount of time.
Some of these tasks are iterative, some require art, some require more code, some require level design, some require heavy file management and naming conventions... they're all very draining in their own unique way, and when you're a solo dev, you not just fighting burnout, you're fighting burnout setting in from all sides.
What i'd give for an ounce of help on all this crap... but at least I know I've got the ball in my corner and I'm getting close.
I'm trying to decide what I think i'm going to get done today, I think i'm going to focus on getting items a bit more wrapped up, Oh i jsut remembered, I need to work on unique bonuses for a couple of the weapons that do not have their own unique bonus, I'm not sure I even know what those bonuses are giong to be, maybe innate crit chance, but that feels like a cop out, i'll figure something out, and I need to revamp how these bonuses are displayed so it's more obvious what they do and how you get the bonus. For example you gain regen from taking damage as a ranged fish, so instead of "Regen" it should say "Regen(RangedFishDefenseBonus)". And just speaking of this, I think i need to clear up how this is described in the tutorial area because I don't think it does a great job of describing these systems.
