More blatherings
Firstly, and I don't know why I feel compelled to justify these blog posts in the outskirts of the internet, I want to explain why I've been making these posts as of late. When you're this far into dev, and you really just want to finish the damned thing so you can move on in so many different ways, you kind of obsess about finishing, about working on the project, and sometimes you're totally tapped and you can't get more work done. So blathering about the game is a bit of an outlet for the energy you'd rather translate into code and design.
Anyhow , sometimes less is more in game dev, in fact it almost always is. But SOMETIMES more is more. The exp systems, the item systems, the ranged systems, the new items, the spawn systems, the (soon to be) sprawling ocean. I really hope this shit is about to come together.
But taking a step back, these dev posts don't really serve any purpose other than a personal journal, and that's kind bleh. Now that I hope my game is coming together I'm going to make these posts a bit more "inviting" and useful to others so they actually serve a useful purpose outside of a personal circle jerk.
